Weddings
The first day that you start your life together should be extraordinary. The University of Rochester Interfaith Chapel is the ideal place for just such beginnings. It has become a favorite tradition of alumni to return to the Chapel for their weddings. They, along with members of the greater Rochester community, have found the it to be the perfect site for their celebrations.

An Event Coordinator will speak with you a month before your wedding to help coordinate the details for the ceremony. She will help organize the wedding rehearsal and on the day of the wedding, she and the wedding assistant will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the ceremony including the processional and recessional.

Our University Organist, from the Eastman School of Music, will also help you choose music from a wide variety of traditions and styles. He will work closely with the coordinator to ensure that your ceremony runs smoothly.

The Bride's Room is located on the River Level and provides a comfortable space for the bride and her attendants to prepare for the ceremony. A room for the groom and the best man is conveniently located at the back of the Chapel for easy entrance.

Photo opportunities are available along the river or on the steps to the Eastman Quad with the picturesque Rush Rhees Library as a backdrop.

Weddings are held on Saturdays at 10:00 am, 12:30 pm, 3:30 pm or 6:00 pm. Sunday afternoon weddings are held between June and mid-August. The Chapel sanctuary is available to the University and the Rochester community.
